Welcome to Vaxnet.com.

The goal of the Vaxnet Program is to assist private and public organizations monitor their progress toward Healthy People 2010 objectives for influenza immunization within their state/local jurisdictions.

As part of the initial deployment, the Vaxnet Program will focus on influenza immunization in those risk groups identified by Healthy People 2010 and CDC.

Risk groups include:
  • 65+ years
  • 50-64 years (ACIP recommendation)
  • High-risk adults 18-49 years
  • High-risk children 6 months - 18 years
  • 6-23 months all children
  • Healthcare workers

For participants in this program, the Vaxnet website will serve as a data submission site, as well as a source of real-time reports on targeted populations, other pilot sites and national progression toward the Healthy People 2010 objectives for influenza vaccination.

At the beginning of 2004, we will be implementing a consumer market research study to augment our information on the rate of non-institutionalized adults vaccinated against influenza in the pilot cities. We will be making the results of the study available to those participating in our pilot, giving valuable information regarding the status of local population relative to the goals of Healthy People 2010.
